VineMe International Limited

End User Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 20 March 2026

Welcome to VineMe. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you and VineMe International Limited (“VineMe”, “we”, “us”, “our”) when you use the VineMe app (“the App”). The App is a church community platform designed to help users connect with small groups within their church.

Although we have written these Terms in plain English, they form a legally binding contract under the laws of England and Wales. Please read them carefully before using the App.

By creating an account and using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About VineMe

VineMe International Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number: 15753981), whose registered address is 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, W1W 7LT

Email: connect@vineme.app

The App is made available to individual users in partnership with affiliated churches. The church that has introduced you to VineMe is responsible for the small groups and community activities facilitated through the App. VineMe provides the platform; the church provides the community.

2. Eligibility

To use the App, you must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. Providing false or misleading information may result in your account being suspended or permanently closed.

3. Your Account

3.1 Registration

To access the App's features, you will need to create an account. During registration, you will be asked to provide your name, phone number, a profile photograph, and any other information reasonably required to connect you with a group.

Date of birth has previously been collected as part of the registration process and may be collected again in future. Where this is the case, you will be clearly informed at the point of registration.

3.2 Account Security

Upon registration, you will verify your account via a one-time code sent to your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and verification codes confidential. You must not share these with anyone else.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, please contact us immediately at connect@vineme.app. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised access to your account where this has occurred as a result of your failure to keep your credentials secure.

3.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that the information on your account remains accurate and up to date. You can update your details at any time within the App.

4. Using the App

4.1 What the App Does

The App allows you to browse small groups associated with your affiliated church, request to join a group, and connect with group leaders and fellow members. You may also drop a pin on a map to indicate your general area to help you find a nearby group. We do not require your specific address.

4.2 Joining a Group

When you request to join a group, you will be shown a clear notice informing you that your name and contact details will be shared with the group leader. You must actively confirm that you wish to proceed before any details are shared. This confirmation constitutes your consent to that specific sharing of your information.

4.3 Your Responsibilities

When using the App, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date
  • Use the App only for its intended purpose of connecting with church small groups
  • Treat other users, group leaders, and church staff with respect
  • Not upload any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate
  • Not impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity
  • Not attempt to access another user's account or harvest other users' information
  • Not use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
  • Not attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the App's operation

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend or close accounts that violate these responsibilities.

5. Child Safety

5.1 Our Commitment

VineMe is committed to providing a safe environment for all users. We have a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Any user found to be engaging in such activity will have their account immediately suspended or permanently closed, and will be reported to the appropriate authorities without delay.

5.2 Age Restriction

The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently done so, we will delete that information promptly.

5.3 Reporting

If you encounter any content or behaviour within the App that you believe may relate to CSAE or the safety of a child, please report it immediately. You can do this by accessing the menu in the upper right corner of the App and selecting ‘Give Feedback’. All reports will be reviewed promptly, and appropriate action will be taken, including removal of content and referral to law enforcement where necessary.

5.4 Legal Compliance

We comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning child safety and protection, and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies as required.

6. Your Personal Data

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use your personal data solely to enable you to use the App and connect with groups. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise make your personal data commercially available to any third party.

The way we collect, use, store, and share your personal data is set out in full in our Privacy Notice, which is available within the App and on this website. Our Privacy Notice forms part of your agreement with us and should be read alongside these Terms.

We may in the future integrate with third-party church management systems to enhance the service we provide. Where this occurs, we will update our Privacy Notice and notify you before any new data sharing takes place.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within the App, including but not limited to the VineMe name, logo, design elements, and text, is the intellectual property of VineMe International Limited or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of this content without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the App, such as your profile photograph. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to display that content within the App for the purpose of providing the service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

We provide the App with reasonable care and skill. However, we cannot guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or meet every individual requirement.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App shall not exceed £100. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of data or loss of opportunity, that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time you began using the App.

We are not responsible for the actions, decisions, or data handling practices of affiliated churches or group leaders once your information has been shared with them. Each church and group leader acts as an independent data controller and is responsible for their own compliance with applicable data protection law.

9. Data Breaches

We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by law. We will also notify you directly without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you personally.

10. Changes to the App and These Terms

10.1 Changes to the App

We may update, change, or temporarily suspend the App from time to time, for example to carry out maintenance or introduce new features. We will aim to give you reasonable notice of any significant changes where possible.

10.2 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you by email before those changes take effect. The updated Terms will also be available within the App. Your continued use of the App after notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Closing Your Account

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at connect@vineme.app. On closure of your account, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close your account if you breach these Terms. Where we do so, we will aim to notify you unless doing so is not reasonably practicable or would compromise the safety of other users.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a dispute arises between you and VineMe that cannot be resolved informally, you are entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.

We always prefer to resolve concerns informally in the first instance. If you have any concerns about the App or these Terms, please contact us at connect@vineme.app and we will do our best to resolve the matter promptly.
